Board members of FoGP have been working with the new Tree Warden for the Town of Greenwich, Dr. Gregory Kramer and JoAnn Messina of the Greenwich Tree Conservancy. Together they have recently funded a tree restoration planting in the main picnic area to a total of 51 trees! Over the years the trees in that area have aged and died off. The new canopy trees consist of Oaks, Elms, Dogwoods, Maples and Redbuds. We applaud this generous gesture and our cooperative partnership with them and other philanthropic groups that value our park.
