Vegetation & Habitat Restoration

- Funded an IBA (Important Bird Area) report

- Planted dune boxes with 1,300 bear root clums of dune grass

- Planted back side of recently rebuilt dunes with 2,150 vegetation plugs and 38 trees/shrubs



- Introduced Annual Holiday Ornament project

- Added new membership incentives, example Summer Beach Towel, Tod's Point Oral History book



- Developed preliminary investment strategy

- Repaired umbrellas at snack bar

- Provided replacement signs

- Worked with town on installation of new bike racks and an updated fishing area

We are committed to responsible stewardship and public education to preserve and enhance Greenwich Point's diverse natural environments and beauty; to safe and appropriate recreation; and to the maintenance of its facilities. The Friends of Greenwich Point initiates and carries out projects related to the organization's mission, complementing the efforts and resources of the town.
