Dune Restoration Workday
Join us to protect and restore the first dune at Greenwich Point! Together we will plant native trees and shrubs to help this shoreline habitat withstand storms and grow for years to come.
When: Saturday Oct. 3, 9 AM - 12 PM
Where: Meet at the first dune (closest to the entrance gate)
What to bring: gloves, shovels (or borrow ours we’ll have extras on hand!)
All ages and experience levels welcome. Volunteer hours available for students.

Mindfulness Class
A Mindfulness Class at the Seaside Garden with Dr. Nancy Boksenbaum
Friends of Greenwich Point is hosting the second of our annual Fall Mindfulness Series at Greenwich Point on Tuesday, September 29th from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
Greenwich Point is one of the most naturally restorative places in our community and this class is designed to help you experience it fully. Join us for a guided hour of simple mindfulness practices using the Point itself as your teacher: the soundscape, the flora and fauna, and the ground and sky.
You will leave with practical tools to shift your attention with intention, clear your mind, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with the power of the present moment - tools you can return to every time you visit the Point and take into your daily life.
All levels are welcome. No prior experience needed.
In the event of inclement weather, class will be held at the Innis Arden Cottage.

Directions and Instructions:
You may park in the Marina Parking and Boat Launch Lot, Number 14, near the Old Greenwich Yacht Club on the map. Cross the street and walk up the drive to the Seaside Garden and Cow Barn Parking Lot, Number 17. Walk through the split rail fence, across the lawn up the hill to the Seaside Garden gate. Please bring a folding lawn chair or beach chair, a sweater or jacket, and give yourself enough time to be settled by 9:30am.
Note:
You may be able to park in the Seaside Garden and Cow Barn Parking, Number 17, but sometimes there is a chain across the entrance, in which case you have to drive all the way around the Point to get back to Marina Parking and Boat Launch Lot, Number 14.
International Coastal Cleanup
International Coastal Cleanup at Greenwich Point
Saturday, September 19 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Greenwich Point Park (Tod's Point). Check in at the tables in the parking lot across from the first concession stand.
Join Greenwich Green & Clean for the annual International Coastal Cleanup and help remove trash from our shoreline. Everything collected is tallied and reported to Save the Sound and the Ocean Conservancy to help address pollution worldwide. Gloves and buckets are provided (or bring your own).
Registration: Encouraged at greenwichgreenandclean.org/events/international-coastal-cleanup. Walk-ins welcome. No park pass needed.

Tides + Tunes Concert: Jamie McClean Band - Location Update - Bosco’s Bar
Due to the rain and anticipated wet conditions later today, we have decided to shift the concert indoors to the Bosco's Bar + Grill location at 148 Sound Beach Ave Old Greenwich, CT 06870. The concert will take place for same time and duration (4-5:30pm) but at Bosco's Bar + Grill

FoGP Comedy Night will happen this year on Saturday, August 29th
Event will run from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Comedy Entertainment will start around 7:00 PM
Please note that this event is BYOE (Bring Your Own Everything) and Waste Free - food and beverage will NOT be available at the event or for purchase. We will provide tables, chairs, tablecloth, the tent, and entertainment and attendees bring everything they want for their table - food, beverage and table decor - OR don't bring anything at all and enjoy laughing the night away! In the past attendees have enjoyed decorating their tables with decor items, just remember that flame candles are not permitted but battery operated candles are acceptable.

Tides + Tunes Concert: Reinaldo DeJesus Latin Jazz Experience
Tides + Tunes Free Summer Concert!
Reinaldo DeJesus is a Grammy Award–winning musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Puerto Rico known for his dynamic work in percussion, drums, and keyboards. His career spans international touring and recording with artists such as Ms. Lauryn Hill, Miguel Zenón, Dispatch, and Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra. DeJesus has performed across Europe, Africa, and Asia, including with the Broadway production FELA! and major cultural programs through the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center. A 2025 Grammy winner for Best Latin Jazz Album (Cubop Lives!), he continues to create across live performance, studio production, film, and commercial work.

Friends of Greenwich Point welcomes children and their caregivers for a joyful afternoon with local author Dale V. Atkins, PhD on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 PM in the beautiful Seaside Garden for a story inspired by a true event that happened at Greenwich Point.
Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and settle in for an engaging outdoor reading experience surrounded by the sights and sounds of Greenwich Point.
Parking is available at the Cow Barn or in the Marina Lot near the Old Greenwich Yacht Club. In the event of rain, the program will move indoors to Innis Arden Cottage.
This event is free and open to the public, though standard park entry rules and fees apply.
