Summer Meadow Work - Volunteers Needed!
Friends of Greenwich Point, is seeking volunteers to help maintain a flourishing meadow of native plants. Participants will assist with planting, watering, and weeding to ensure the meadow continues to thrive as an important natural resource for the park.
We will be meeting at the Meadow, just up the path from the Cow Barn Parking lot.
Some gloves and tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own!

Tides + Tunes Free Summer Concert!
Jamie McLean Band creates a musical gumbo that incorporates New Orleans soul, middle Americana roots, Delta blues and New York City swagger. Jamie McLean Band is a triple threat. Mindfulness Class
A Mindfulness Class at the Seaside Garden with Dr. Nancy Boksenbaum
Friends of Greenwich Point is hosting the first of our annual Fall Mindfulness Series at Greenwich Point on Tuesday, September 15th from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
Greenwich Point is one of the most naturally restorative places in our community and this class is designed to help you experience it fully. Join us for a guided hour of simple mindfulness practices using the Point itself as your teacher: the soundscape, the flora and fauna, the ground and sky.
You will leave with practical tools to shift your attention with intention, clear your mind, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with the power of the present moment - tools you can return to every time you visit the Point and take into your daily life.
All levels are welcome. No prior experience needed.
In the event of inclement weather, class will be held at the Innis Arden Cottage.

Tides + Tunes Concert: Reinaldo DeJesus Latin Jazz Experience
Tides + Tunes Free Summer Concert!
Reinaldo DeJesus is a Grammy Award–winning musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Puerto Rico known for his dynamic work in percussion, drums, and keyboards. His career spans international touring and recording with artists such as Ms. Lauryn Hill, Miguel Zenón, Dispatch, and Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra. DeJesus has performed across Europe, Africa, and Asia, including with the Broadway production FELA! and major cultural programs through the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center. A 2025 Grammy winner for Best Latin Jazz Album (Cubop Lives!), he continues to create across live performance, studio production, film, and commercial work.

Join us for a Summer Reading Event with Local Author Dale V. Atkins, PhD
Friends of Greenwich Point welcomes children and their caregivers for a joyful afternoon with local author Dale V. Atkins, PhD on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 PM in the beautiful Seaside Garden for a story inspired by a true event that happened at Greenwich Point.
Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and settle in for an engaging outdoor reading experience surrounded by the sights and sounds of Greenwich Point.
Parking is available at the Cow Barn or in the Marina Lot near the Old Greenwich Yacht Club. In the event of rain, the program will move indoors to Innis Arden Cottage.
This event is free and open to the public, though standard park entry rules and fees apply.

Tides + Tunes Free Summer Concert!
Come make some musical noise with Jason Pharr of Jumpin’ Jams! Experience singing, laughter, movement, and fun with your babies through preschoolers. This 45-minute set will be packed with and include exploration of rhythm, melody, and movement, and is sure to get even the smallest kids singing, clapping, dancing, and of course JUMPIN’!

Class will be held in the Seaside Garden. If it rains we will meet at Innis Arden Cottage.
Dr. Nancy Boksenbaum, a local Mindfulness teacher, will lead the class to help you more fully appreciate nature and all the Point has to offer. You will learn a variety of introductory practices to befriend your breath, settle your mind, and enhance your experience of the beauty and sounds at the Point.

Adult Marine Science Education with SoundWaters
Learn about Long Island Sound and its wildlife with SoundWaters at this interactive event.
Friends of Greenwich Point in partnership with SoundWaters will be hosting their first ever Adult Marine Science Education talk at Innis Arden Cottage on April 28th from 5:45 PM - 6:45 PM.
SoundWater programs introduce participants to the ecology of Long Island Sound, including marine life, water quality, habitats, and conservation challenges, while fostering environmental stewardship and a deeper appreciation for the region’s coastal resources.
There is no cost for this event but space is limited to 20 participants so sign up now.

Live Like Luke Beach Cleanup Saturday, April 25th
Join us on Saturday April 25th from 9 am to 1 pm at Greenwich Point to celebrate the Annual Live Like Luke Beach Cleanup.
Stop by the Friends of Greenwich Point table to take home a free native plant for your garden. This event honors Luke Meyers, GHS environmental activist who lost his battle with cancer in 2019.
Community Service certificates will be available.

The Safe Roads Sundays program is coming back to Greenwich Point under the continued sponsorship of The Friends Of Greenwich Point (“FoGP”). The Safe Roads Sundays (“SRS”) program provides traffic-restricted use of the main loop road at Greenwich Point for the benefit of pedestrians, joggers, strollers and bikers. FoGP has been sponsoring SRS for many years, and it has proven to be very popular for a broad range of recreational interests.
This SRS season will run from Sunday, November 16 to Sunday, April 12, from 8 AM to 11:00 AM every Sunday. Greenwich Parks and Recreation department will monitor the entry point just past the main parking lot, including restricting non-essential vehicles.
Note that certain sanctioned vehicles will continue to be allowed access to all roadways, including emergency vehicles, boat owners, handicapped drivers, and Park employees, so SRS visitors should continue to exercise caution and grant sanctioned vehicles the right-of-way.
