Safe Roads Sundays

  • 11 Tods Driftway Greenwich, CT, 06870 United States (map)

The Safe Roads Sundays program is coming back to Greenwich Point under the continued sponsorship of The Friends Of Greenwich Point (“FoGP”).   The Safe Roads Sundays (“SRS”) program provides traffic-restricted use of the main loop road at Greenwich Point for the benefit of pedestrians, joggers, strollers and bikers.  FoGP has been sponsoring SRS for many years, and it has proven to be very popular for a broad range of recreational interests.

This SRS season will run from Sunday, November 16 to Sunday, April 12, from 8 AM to 11:00 AM every Sunday.   Greenwich Parks and Recreation department will monitor the entry point just past the main parking lot, including restricting non-essential vehicles.

Note that certain sanctioned vehicles will continue to be allowed access to all roadways, including emergency vehicles, boat owners, handicapped drivers, and Park employees, so SRS visitors should continue to exercise caution and grant sanctioned vehicles the right-of-way.
