Native Plants at Greenwich Point
Sunday, June 11 at 1pm
Meet at the Cow Barn (#17 on map)
An environmental educator from Stamford Museum and Nature Center will reinforce the role of native plants which are essential to the source of food and habitat for birds, insects and other wildlife, as well as the detrimental effects of invasive species. Participants will be given a seedling to take home.
A short walk will follow to see the Wildflower Meadow, a work in progress that has been registered as Monarch Waystation with the organization Monarch Watch. We will continue toward the Mansion to see the site of the future Bird Water Garden, a gift from FoGP, and another work in progress.
