International Coastal Cleanup Day 2022

Sat, Sept. 17, 2022, 10am - 2pm 

 

Greenwich Green & Clean along with community partners will be sponsoring an International Coastal Cleanup Day at Greenwich Point Park.  This family-friendly event aims to establish good environmental habits.  All non-biodegradable trash will be tallied and reported to Save the Sound for submission to the Ocean Conservancy which coordinates with organizations worldwide to analyze the pollution of the Earth’s waters.

 

Pre-registration is helpful but walk-ins will be welcomed. Visit www.greenwichgreenandclean.org.  Please check in at the tables at the parking lot across from the first concession stand.  Beach cards will not be needed for volunteers.

 

Participants are encouraged to bring gloves and buckets.  However, they will be available on site.
