Holly Grove

Thanks to the donation from Will Nixon in honor of his father, Justin Wroe Nixon, 10 holly trees are being planted this June by the Greenwich Youth Conservation Program. This is their 41st year. The town has purchased 10 more trees for 20 total adding to the ones we’ve lost over the years through age and storms. These 14 to 15 year old teens work in two week stints and will work hard at the point planting, getting rid of invasives and whatever else needs to be done. They are guided by the Parks and Recreation Department and the groups will work until August 15th.
