GeoCaching at the Point
Geocaching is a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers outdoors and then share your experiences online.
A geocacher can place a geocache (or container) in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technologoy and then share teh geocache's existenece and location online. A geocache includes, at minimum, a logbook for geocachers to sign.
According to www.geocaching.com, geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.
The Website is also where you can learn the history of the hobby, the supplies required and read log sheets of people's experiences, as well as wind clues to caches near you.
There are 2 geocaches at the point:
1. A Walk at the Beach (GCZC5Y)
2. Gatsby (GCH913) - as of Feb 21st - temporarily unavailable
