Free Summer Concert Series
2011 Summer Concert Series.
4:30 - 6:00 pm in the Seaside Garden
Open to all Greenwich Point visitors. (Permits required for park entry.) The lovely garden lawn can accommodate 200 or more listeners while the musicians perform on the brick patio at the west end of the garden. Bring your own chair or blanket. If it rains or thunderstorms are predicted, concerts will be postponed or cancelled.
June 29 - Oceans are talking
(newly renovated Innis Arden Environmental Center 4-5pm)
Help us celebrate the Grand Opening of the newly renovated Innis Arden Environmental Center. We will be sponsoring "Oceans are Talking", an eight piece Mediterranean bluegrass dance band. Through it's music the group aims to enlighten families about the most critical issues facing the world's oceans and the creatures that live there.
June 26 - Fairfield Counts
Big band orchestra playing hits from 20's- today. The "Counts" will delighted the audience with their 17-piece, Big Band sound featuring the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Harry James and the great Count Basie.
July 25 - The Swingaholics will be bringing their special brand of Country Swing and twang-o-logy
Come enjoy a special brand of country swing and twang to the seaside stage. Grab your partner and go hog wild as they sing and play various instruments including rhythm, electric and steel guitars and electric mandolin. http://www.theswingaholics.com/
August 14 - Too Blue -
Classic bluegrass with traditional and original music.
A bluegrass and swing quartet from New York and Connecticut. This dynamic acoustic ensemble performs sizzling instrumentals, tight vocal harmonies and original songs.
Sept. 18 - Willfull Misconduct is a classic rock band based in Stamford, Ct that has been performing in Fairfield County for the past ten years. They play the music of The Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, and many others.
